Blenkinsop community agricultural centre

The Blenkinsop Community Agricultural Centre is a community-focused growing space located in the Blenkinsop Valley in Saanich. Created to support local food growing, education, and community connection, Blenkinsop Gardens provides garden plots and small farm spaces for individuals, families, and small-scale growers. Blenkinsop Gardens brings people together around agriculture in a practical, hands-on way.

Members can grow food, build skills, share knowledge, and connect with others who value local food, sustainability, and community-based growing. The centre includes hundreds of garden plots, larger farm spaces, pathways, irrigation, and shared infrastructure designed to support both new and experienced growers.

As a privately funded community agricultural project, Blenkinsop Gardens has been developed without taxpayer funding and continues to grow through the participation and support of its members, partners, and local community. It is a place where people can reconnect with the land, learn by doing, and contribute to a stronger local food system. Blenkinsop Gardens is more than a garden. It is a growing community built around food, education, connection, and a shared commitment to keeping agriculture active and accessible in Saanich.
