Macaloney’s Island Distillery & Twa Dogs Brewery is a Saanich -based craft distillery and brewery founded by Dr. Graeme Macaloney, a Scottish-born fermentation engineer. After moving to Canada, Graeme combined his passion for traditional Scottish whisky-making with the vibrant West Coast craft beer scene.

 

With support from over 270 Canadian whisky and beer enthusiasts, he established a world-class facility featuring hand-hammered Forsyth’s copper pot stills and a skilled team, including Master Distiller Mike Nicolson and maturation expert Dr. Jim Swan.

 

The distillery produces award-winning single malt whiskies using Canadian barley and traditional techniques, while the brewery offers a range of craft beers inspired by Robert Burns’ poetry.
