Dominion Brook  Park

SUNDAY ONLY: Tours at 10:15am, 11:15, 12:15

Across from  Center for Plant Health

the Friends of Dominion Brook Park will offer three tours with refreshments to follow. The Department of Agriculture started the Park in 1913 as a demonstration arboretum and ornamental garden. Learn about the history.  See the amazing number of plants that have grown to maturity over the last century. Visit the new stone footbridge that was built in 2018 using dry stone construction.  Only gravity, friction and the shape of the stones hold it together

Note: Non-accessible washroom at this site.

WestCoast  Canine Academy Sheep Herding

SATURDAY ONLY 12 noon – 1 pm

Epicure Selections fields

Bring a lawn chair for your comfort while you listen and watch local experts keep this tradition alive. 

See the special relationship between dog and human at works as these quick witted dogs round up sheep through gates and obstacles.

Fruit Trees and  More

SATURDAY ONLY:  Tours from 10 am -  to 4 pm

Informative guided tours of a small acreage which grows lemons, limes, oranges, figs, olives, kiwi and temperate fruit trees. You will be amazed at  what is possible! Nursery plants, marmalade and jam made from our fruit for sale too. Cash, cheque or e-transfer with your own device. No cards.

Holy Trinity Church

SATURDAY ONLY:  Afternoon tea & open house 2pm - 4pm

Cemetery open to visitors; advisor on duty.

Enjoy a complimentary tea of scones and local berry preserve before you tour our 134-year-old church. Visit the cemetery and take our short self-guided tour (brochures at the tea) or consult the ladies in period costume to inquire about the grave of a family member or friend.

Enjoy free samples of Melinda’s famous biscotti and meringues, and take a behind-the-scenes tour of the bakery to hear the stories that have made Melinda’s biscotti renowned throughout BC!

Deep Cove Winery

Our vision is to strengthen the island’s sustainable wine identity while implementing traditional winemaking techniques. Come enjoy our newly renovated winery and sample some of the best wines in the region.

Come sample our many delicacies. A wide selection of tasty products including our farm-created infused vinegars (try our Rose & Cardamom or our Douglas Fir, just to name a few!) bread mixes, dips, rubs, soup mixes, and more. Featured lunch: pulled pork (vegan option), lemon verbena soda and blueberry fir sorbet! Enjoy our gardens and our friendly hens.

Two Little Birds Flower Farm


375 Wain Road

Come see our small scale, high intensity flower farm. Growing local blooms from March till October, for our CSA weekly flower subscription, small weddings and farmers markets.  Demo's in our use of beneficial insects and compost tea, as well as great tricks for harvesting!

The CFIA Centre for Plant Health

SUNDAY ONLY: Tours at 9, 10, 11am

On Sunday, tour & learn at the Centre for Plant Health, a centre of expertise for viruses and virus-like diseases of plants in support of national and international agriculture. Maximum tour group size: 20.

McTavish Academy

Come and check out this converted school that has become an arts hub and gathering space for North Saanich. You can feel the creative community vibe the moment you walk through the door.

Free blackberry picking (bring your own bucket), a giant food mural to help paint, and back gardens in full harvest to explore…


Don’t forget about the festival Sunday morning pancake breakfast (9:30 -11:30) and field square dance (11:00 or so start), with music from Water in the Crawl Space  hosted here!

Pasture Perfect Lamb and CountryWools

Both days, demonstrations at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm.

Meet Olde Country Registered ewes and young lambs up close!  Sheep shearing demos at 11 am, 1 pm, and 3pm. Explore educational material and memorabilia from a lifetime of raising sheep.  

Try samples of our amazing sausage, purchase Lamb cuts and wool products: yarn, bedding, slippers, socks, dryer balls, sheepskins and blankets, and see both a lamb display and wool and needle felting play station.

The Fickle Fig Farm Market

Both days, pork roast with live music 12pm - 4pm Sunday

Year round farmers market, bakery, bistro and café features local seasonal produce, meats, preserves & artisan goods. Come and join us in our patio garden and sit amongst the colourful flowers and abundant seasonal produce beds for fresh Italian fare. Visit our playful goats who are sure to steal the show.


Fickle Fig best and largest annual Pork roast, live music and face painting event takes place from 12-4 on the festival Sunday.

10 Acres Farm 

Tours Saturday and Sunday

Tours start at the top of the hour,  from 11 am to 3 pm inclusive

Meet at the top of the farm gate.

Come meet the farmers that grow the food destined for the 10 Acres Kitchen, Bistro and Commons restaurants  downtown. Take a tour to see our greenhouse and field grown veggies, our orchard and vine fruits, our honey bees and free range animals.

Our vegetables are mainly grown from heirloom seeds and are selected for their outstanding flavours and nutrient value, their suitability to our West Coast climate, and visual appeal. When possible, we source from small Canadian seed businesses, from varieties that have passed down through family generations.

Kallayanee's Kitchen Thai Cooking Classes

Both days 10am - 4 pm

Come visit us for free samples of Thai food and enjoy a cup of tea with Kallayanee, the host of Kallayanee’s Kitchen. Tour our gardens and learn how we use our home-grown Thai vegetables, herbs and spices in the creation of the delicious dishes that we teach in our classes.

Special fundraiser - bring home your own Thai basil plant for $4 a pot. (Cash only please.)

Anneth Farm

Our passion is to provide fresh produce, prepared foods and ethical meats to our community. We look forward to meeting you in our farm tours, providing demos of small farm equipment, introducing some of our four legged farm friends, and sharing farm friendly recipes.

Howl Brewery

10 - 4 both days

1780 Mills Rd, North Saanich, BC

This small batch nano brewery nestled away on a farm in North Saanich uses 90 % homegrown ingredients. We will be serving up a specialty “Flavour Trails” Blackberry Lavender Ale, as well as flights and fills of many other types of our beer. Come talk to our brewer to answer any questions you might have about our brewing process!

Taylor Farms 

SATURDAY ONLY  12pm - 2pm.

The Shire horses & carts known throughout the region will be at the Festival - hop on board for a country ride pulled by the gentle giants of Taylor Farms. 

$3 per person, $10 per family of four.

Farmer John at Epicure

Come see a productive little market garden at work and buy fresh veggies, sunflowers, and "White Carolina Strawberries" that taste like pineapple!

Tseycum crrekwalk with Peninsula Streams

SATURDAY ONLY, tours at 10 am and 3 pm

Tseycum creek, just south of Totem Lane

Tseycum First Nation and the Peninsula Streams Society will be providing guided tours of lower Tseycum Creek. Bring the kids along for watershed model demonstrations onsite throughout the day! You are welcome to park along Totem Lane at the Tseycum community, or on public parking pull outs along West Saanich Road. 

The Bike Corral

10005 McDonald Park Road

The Bike Corral is the Center of All Things Bicycle at the Festival. Hosted by Cycling Without Age (CWA)  - a non-profit organization that supports everyone's right to the wind in their hair regardless of age or ability - there will be rickshaw rides offered by CWA, ebike rentals by Ride the Glide, and standard bike rentals offered by Here By Cycle.


This is also the starting place of the Flavour Cycle, led by Steve Duck and TIDES cycling tours.


Finally, Saturday 10 - 1 pm Russ Hays will be providing bike check-overs by donation. Because a bike mechanic's time is precious, we ask that you use the link below to prebook so that we know you are coming! Your pre-booking will ensure their attendance.
