Regional wines are bursting with flavour these days and a great way to experience them all in one place is at the annual Peninsula Wine Festival, Saturday July 15, 1:00-4:00pm!
Join the Anglican Parish of Central Saanich for their annual Peninsula Wine Fest on the beautiful grounds of St. Stephen’s Anglican Church. This event is family and community oriented, and all of the proceeds will support community initiatives like the Saanich Peninsula Hospital, the Mt. Newton Centre Society, and Stelly’s Secondary School.
This Wine Fest is a complete wine tasting event that will include a wine tasting demonstration, wine tasting (of course!), appetizers, live music, and a unique etched wine glass as a take-home souvenir. Rounding out the tasting of over 20 wines is a vintage car show, a tour of the heritage church and historical cemetery, and a silent auction.
Tickets: Online at www.ParishCS.ca – look for the “Buy Wine Fest Tickets” button : $45 general, $40 for seniors (+65) and enrolled students. Parking is free. Tickets at the door will be $50.
Everyone is welcome – it is truly an event for families. For those choosing not to participate in the wine tasting activities, there will be food, non-alcoholic beverages, and entertainment for all ages. Admission is FREE if you are not participating in the wine tasting activities, but you will need to “purchase” a Free Ticket. Children must be supervised by their parents and this is a no-pet event.
