To eat well, plant well!  Now is the time of the year to dream and plan your garden.  And now is the time of year to get some local seeds at one of a number of Seedy Saturdays in the region.  What is Seedy Saturday?  Seedy Saturdays are buy/trade events for local seeds.  This is where you will find a wide array of locally grown, locally tested seeds that you can trust will give you the best crops for our region.  Using locally grown and in many cases heritage seeds is a fantastic way to preserve seed diversity in our world and try some new (old) varieties of fruits and vegetables that you might not find anywhere else.  And the TASTE IS AMAZING!!  Go check it out!  SAANICH SEEDY SATURDAY (@Haliburton Farm):  Jan 21, 2017, SALTSPRING SEEDY SATURDAY (@Farmer’s Institute, 351 Rainbow Road) Feb 11, 2017. , VICTORIA SEEDY SATURDAY (@Victoria Conference Centre):  Feb 18, 2017, SOOKE SEEDY SATURDAY (@Sooke Community Centre) Feb 25, 2017, COOBLE HILL SEEDY SATURDAY  Mar 11, 2017, DUNCAN SEEDY SUNDAY (@Cowichan Tribes) Mar 19, 2017
