The starter salad, made with love by Snowden Farms in North Saanich, at the Flavour Trails gala event

The highly popular Flavour Trails North Saanich Food and Farm Festival, August 16-18, 2019 is a celebratory rural ramble and feast of the senses! Explore and experience the weekend by bike or by car and meet the growers, harvesters, fishers, vinters, chefs and producers that are creating an amazingly rich bounty right here in our own backyard!   Take a farm or winery tour, sample food, enjoy music and art, learn about regional indigenous harvesting, watch dog herding demonstrations and experience farm life past and present. There is so much to enjoy and take home with you!

Biking is a terrific way to go! This year, in addition to the guaranteed-to-sell out Flavour Cycle (see, we encourage you to hit the trail on your bike for an opportunity to win prizes! Additional prizes for kids and youth on bikes!!!

Local food is good food!  Savour and enjoy!

How do I find our more about the festival? Like us on facebook, so that we can keep you posted on the lastest. Look for brochures around town (libraries, community centres etc) a little closer to the festival date. Download the brochure from our website, once it is published. And in the meantime, have a look at last year’s brochure (with map and venues) down below.

Interested in partnering with us?

The Flavour Trails program both organizes signature events and festivals, as well as partners with other local organizations to promote their regional food/farm/winery events.

The criteria for partner events are:
• they showcase Capital Region farms and foods
• they are located on the Capital Region
• they are inclusive of all modes of sustainable food production, and
• they are held in a safe and inclusive environment.

We are always interested in talking with potential partners for events that celebrate and promote local sustainable food. If you are interested, please contact Flavour Trails coordinator, Jen Rashleigh at
