DINE AROUND VICTORIA:   January – Early February

Over 50 of Victoria’s best restaurants offer deliciously affordable 3-course tasting menus.  Many chefs feature locally sourced, seasonal foods.


VICTORIA’S SEEDY SATURDAY:  Mid-February

Local seed exchange and sale.  Buy seeds for the season, learn new growing techniques and savour preserved flavours from farmers and chefs.


FARMER2FARMER:  late February

A CRFAIR conference bringing together local farmers and farming advocates/educators to learn, share skills and strengthen our food economy.  Local issues.  Local people.  Local solutions.


VICTORIA TEA FESTIVAL: early March

Taste teas from around the world.  Meet the growers and learn about the unique nuances of various growing regions.


IRISH WHISKEY HOOLEY: March

Tasting over 40 international and local whiskeys. A ticketed event.I



BC CIDER WEEK: SEA CIDER SOCIAL:  May 

Over 15 BC cideries are represented at this ticketed event  at Sea Cider Farm & Ciderhouse.


CHEESE AND MEAT FESTIVAL:  May.

At Crystal Gardens, Victoria. International and local artisan cheeses and meats, paired with local wines, ciders and beers


FERNWOOD BITES:  late June. 

A fabulous local food tasting (ticketed) event featuring over local 30 restaurants, breweries, distilleries, cideries and wineries. Food, music and celebration in Fernwood square.


SAANICH STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL: July. 

A large, free community festival featuring ice-cream, strawberries, games, music, face-painting and rides.


PENINSULA WINE FESTIVAL:  July. 

A fully local wine and cider festival, featuring wineries/cideries of Capital Region and Gulf Islands.  A “bundled event” with food, music, antique car show and much more. Organized by the Anglican Parish of Central Saanich.


NORTH SAANICH FLAVOUR TRAILS FESTIVAL:  August. 

An award winning festival celebrating growers, makers, chefs and vinters of the region. Over 20+ venue and activities with farm fun, tours, demonstrations, music, activities for young and old, and of course fantastic food!


FEAST OF FIELDS: August.

A wandering gourmet harvest festival that highlights the connections between farmers and chefs, field and table, and farm folks and city folks.


ESQUIMALT RIB FESTIVAL: September

Ribs from across the country, local entertainment, regionally crafted beer and cider.


 SALTSPRING APPLE FESTIVAL:  late September 

“A chance to visit Apple Heaven while still on earth!”.  Festival celebrates the over 450 varieties of apples are grown organically on Saltspring Island.  Taste, learn, take home.


SAVOUR COWICHAN:  September-October

A multi-event festival showcasing the Cowichan Valley’s remarkable cornucopia of locally produced food and drink.
