Cycling YOUR Flavour Trail

There are many ways to get to know your Peninsula. One of my favorite ways is on my bike, as I have an opportunity to visit many places, connect with the surrounding landscape and enjoy the unknown experiences that lie on the road underneath.  The new airport path is the smooth way I start my rides, and it takes me along my favorite flavour trail.

Start with a hearty breakfast (lunch or dinner) at the Roost, where the produce on your plate is grown right on-site. The breads are delicious and your coffee cup will never be empty! From here you can bike past many of the Peninsulas secrets, such as Epicure Selections, a place full of spice and surprises, or the Pat Bay Trading Post, where you can find paintings, carvings or a tasty snack.

Enjoy a glass of wine and lunch at Muse Winery.  This winery ranks among the finest on the Island, with everything from Ortega to Malbec’s. Muse has a fantastic patio and is a great place for a tasting and light lunch. Finally, I’ve worked my legs hard enough for the gingersnap biscotti finale! You can dunk this twice baked cookie into a latte at Melinda’s Biscotti to enjoy a fine Italian treat.

My Flavour Trail is filled with beautiful landscape, delicate wine and delicious food. Cycle your Flavour Trail on the Saanich Peninsula – you won’t regret it!
