North Saanich Farm Market
Saturday morning, 9:30 a.m – 12:30 p.m.
@ St. Johns United Church, 10990 West Saanich Road, North Saanich
It’s the North Saanich Flavour Trail weekend! As in previous years, our market will be the starting-off point. In addition to lots of new and returning vendors (as well as all our regulars), you can come to the market to get your program for the tour. Hedgerow Press will be back, as will the Deep Cove Weavers and Spinners and hopefully, Ed Banas with his wonderful local honey! Music by Water in the Crawl Space. And a great dinner starts at the North Saanich Farm Market too. We’ll have Sweet Yellow and Peaches’n’Cream corn from Silver Rill this week. Summer fruit season has moved into early apples and golden plums. Tomato season is in full swing, with lots of heirloom and cherry tomatoes, as well as sweet basil, summer squash (yellow and green zucchinis, pattypans), great garlic, new potatoes, fresh greens (mixed salad, lettuces, kales), beans and beets, early winter squash, crafts (knitted goods, hand-sewn dresses and bags, jewelry, garden art), preserves and baking; beautiful flowers; local organic meat and poultry products and eggs; and live music to listen (or dance!) to.
